Roots and Wings: Nurturing Stability in Community

The monastic vow of stability, particularly from the Benedictine tradition, might at first glance not seem relevant to modern-day followers of Jesus. This sermon explores some of the background to the monastic understanding of stability, the theological and scriptural principles that lie behind it, and explains why it may be one of the most radical commitments a contemporary follower of Jesus might make.
