Welcome to CCE Hall Hire
Our beautifully maintained church building offers a versatile and welcoming space that is perfect for a wide range of events and gatherings. Whether you’re planning music rehearsals, a birthday party, a wedding reception, a community meeting, a social event, a workshop, or a special celebration, our halls provide the ideal setting to make your occasion memorable.
Edinburgh Festival let
Our building is also open to hire throughout the Edinburgh Festival period.
The venue has been renamed 'House of Oz' and 'Canada Hub' for the Festival in recent years. House of Oz showcased Australian talent and in its first year at Kings Hall, as part of a collaboration between the British Council and the Australian Government, won an award for Best Fringe Venue. Similarly for CanadaHub with the Canada Council for the Arts and Canadian Government of Canada collaborating and winning a 2018 Herald Angel.
We partner with our neighbours to additionally let out a fabulous garden space adjoining King’s Hall.
The Space
Step into our remarkable event spaces: the Main Hall and the Small Hall, housed within our cherished church building. While primarily serving as a place of worship, these halls have also been thoughtfully adapted to accommodate various events and gatherings.
The Main Hall exudes a sense of grandeur, while the Small Hall offers a more intimate setting, both infused with the reverence and beauty that define our church.
Whether you're planning a worship evening, a community meeting, or a special celebration, our versatile halls provide a unique and spiritually enriching environment.
We invite you to explore the harmonious blend of sacred purpose and event functionality within the walls of our Main Hall and Small Hall.
Main Hall
Ground floor. Entry through foyer. Wheelchair accessible.
- Seating capacities: seating for 180 downstairs (with flexibility to chair layout), and 270 upstairs in the balcony.
- Floor size: 12.8m x 16.5m
- 8.5m between balconies, 4m between columns
- Plus a stage area of 6m x 4.8m (details see photo of stage with dimensions)

Small Hall
First floor. Entry via the Northern side entrance and stairs.
