Wider Relationships

We are all connected in so many ways.  Over the years, some friendships have endured, and the partnership we have with others have made us better.

Networks

We are a Scottish Network Church, a small network of like-minded churches from around Scotland, built around friendship and a common desire to see vibrant churches in every locality in Scotland.

We are also part of the Pioneer Network.

Edinburgh

We have formed strong relationships in Edinburgh’s Christian community, including in the Newington area of the city through “Newington Churches Together”. These relationships have developed across denominational boundaries, working together in unity, looking to serve our city particularly with a food bank, hosted in the CCE church building.  There are also city-wide ministers prayer events that the leaders of CCE attend.

In 2008, a group emerged from Community Church, to start a prayer room and Christian community on the edge of Edinburgh, called Wellsprings.  Dave Hewitt and his wife Maggie, at that time one of the leaders and staff of Community Church, is leading this new initiative.
