Giving week 3-10th March
In the Autumn of 2023, when we started budgeting for 2024, we were looking at having to manage a £40,000 deficit in annual giving, which is obviously substantial and not sustainable. The Finance Group, Trustees and leaders have adopted a number of means of closing that gap for this year. Broadly speaking this is through reducing expenditure and using some of the money we have in the bank for such a time as this. Another part of the budgeting strategy is to take up an offering in the Spring to make up some of the potential shortfall. We are looking to raise at least £8,600 in this offering.
There are three things you could do in response to this:
- Please pray for our Father’s provision for us as a church. He is faithful – and we are looking for God’s provision and leading in all this – and to multiply the loaves and fishes we bring to Him.
- Please could you consider what you give towards this offering during this week- to help resource the great things that we are doing in CCE.
- You might also like to consider reviewing your ongoing giving – or start regular giving if you aren’t already doing so.
As part of our giving week we have put together a booklet detailing the wide number activities within CCE and how your giving will support the life and vibrancy of what we do as a church. It is amazing to see the variety and number of things we are involved in and so encouraging to hear what God is doing in and through CCE.
