This week we will be continuing our new mini-series ‘Oxymoron; two words that seem contradictory’. Rupert’s talk this Sunday is titled ‘A scattered/ gathered church’.

As you read through this passage from Acts  you might like to savour one word or phrase that you have noticed more than others. As you think about this word or phrase you could begin pondering what God might be saying to you through this. How is this word speaking to your life?

Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralysed or lame were healed. So there was great joy in that city.
