The Tree of Hope

In this sermon  Rupert Ward continues our sermon series, ‘Roots of Life’, and explores the theme of Hope. The tree of life is mentioned in three books of the Bible: Genesis, Revelation, and then perhaps slightly surprisingly in the book of Proverbs, which is a book about principles for wise living. This sermon starts with a wide view of the tree of life imagery in the Bible, and then dives deeper into one of these wise sayings in Proverbs wrestling with themes of loss of hope, heart-sickness and how a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
