Taming the Story of Tamar – part 2 (or being forgiven is better than being righteous)

Rupert Ward

The story of Tamar and Judah in Genesis 38 is an odd story to our modern ears. In part 1, we looked at what might the text mean, and how might it be relevant for us today. In part 2 we explore why this chapter is even in this section of the Bible, looking particularly at Judah, his character and life prior and after, and what might bring about this change.
Scriptures: Matthew 1; Genesis 38
