Abby Lanyon-Olver continues our ‘A Seat at the Table’ series with a talk based on Luke 10;38-42, where Jesus is at the home of Martha and Mary. As Mary sits at the feet of Jesus, Martha is busy in the kitchen. Mary has a very different relationship to Him, positioning herself at the feet of Jesus and focusing on every word he says. Martha on the other hand has welcomed Jesus into her house, but is distant and worrying about getting a meal ready. Abby leaves us with three question to ponder on: 1. How can I position myself close to Jesus? 2. Am I at rest with Jesus? 3. Is my relationship with Jesus the number one priority?
