Simon Milligan begins our new summer series ‘A Seat at the Table’ with a talk titled ‘A revelation of Jesus’. Referring to Luke 24v13-35, Jesus is walking and talking with the disciples on the way to Emmaus, discussing everything that had happened in the days leading up to the journey. Simon explores some of the revelations that the disciples received from Jesus – going right back to the Garden of Eden. The disciples invite Jesus to join them in a meal at their destination, their eyes are opened to who Jesus is and they exclaim how their hearts had burnt within them. Simon leaves us with a question: What have you received from the risen Jesus?
