James 1:23-24

This week  Andrew Hook and Rupert Ward will be continuing the series on Ancient Wisdom with a talk titled ‘The sights and sounds of scripture’. As you read this scripture, you might like to consider the following questions;

What is my own actual relationship to, feelings towards and experiences of the Bible? The word of God is described as a mirror and also as a sword. What do these suggest?

“Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like” 

James 1:23-24.
