Genesis 1:31 – 2:3
This week, Rupert Ward will be completing our current series ‘Raising the sail’, with a talk from Genesis. As you read through this scripture you might like to consider the following questions;-
- What strikes you as odd as you read these verses? Why is that important to notice?
- And as you read about the 7th day, what is different to the other 6 days? Why do you think that is?
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
2 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array.
2 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
