Foodbank Update for November
Dear Friends,
October was a very good month for donations. The promised delivery from Merchiston Castle school arrived, from their harvest collection. We were also pleased to receive harvest donations from St Catherine’s Argyle, Gorgie Palmerston Place and Duncan Street Baptist churches as well as from several of our own NCT churches. The Edinburgh Welsh Society, who hold their annual harvest thanksgiving at Reid Memorial, also sent donations. Many thanks to you all.
The pattern which is beginning to emerge is that with continuing donations from our churches and local businesses and a small monthly order to Sainsbury’s we are able to meet the needs of our guests fairly well week by week. People are, in general, very accommodating and continue to be glad of what we can offer rather than difficult about things we are unable to provide.
With grateful thanks for your continuing support of Newington Foodbank+.
