The Leadership Team has begun to make some decisions about the upcoming weeks, as we begin to exit lockdown. This video from Rupert outlines some of the plans for coming weeks, especially for Sundays, and some of the reasons why we are suggesting going down this route, and we’d ask you to take a few minutes to listen to this.
The summary of plans for Sundays over the coming weeks are:
- 5th, 12th, 19th July and 2nd August – CCE Online via zoom
- 26th July & 9th August – outside meeting in small sized groups based around the Local Support Groups for a short time of sharing and prayer, with a BYO picnic/lunch.
- 14th – 16th August – we are still hoping that the planned CCE camping trip will be able to go ahead, for those who wish to camp or for day visitors – see separate newsletter entry.
Obviously all the real-life meetings/events are provisional and dependent on Scottish Government advice. We will say more in the common weeks and your local support group coordinators will be in touch over the next week or so as we start to plan these.
We are aware some folks might not be able to join in the real life meetings/events due to shielding or health concerns, so we remain committed to providing online ways of connecting, to ensure we are inclusive as we are able to be.
The focus here has been around Sunday events – we are also looking at what we do with other aspects of CCE going forward, including how we look beyond ourselves, re-enter the King’s Hall, and bring life to small groups.
