Scripture of the week

This week Dani and Ali will be continuing our current sermon series “Is the good news really good news’ with a talk titled ‘Good News; Prayer‘. The scripture of this week is 1 Timothy 2; 1-4.

As you read through this passage you might like to savour one word or phrase that you have noticed more than others. As you think about this word or phrase you could begin pondering what God might be saying to you through this.

2 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— ² for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. ³ This is good, and pleases God our Savior, ⁴ who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
